April 3, 1974 – “Black Wednesday”: A memorable tornado outbreak occurred this day. One-hundred and forty-eight tornadoes occurred with a 16 hour period that covered 13 states, and resulted in 335 deaths and 5,484 injuries. Harrison County experienced an F3 Tornado. More information on this event will be published in the near future.
The National Weather Service office in Louisville is also looking for information of this event, and eagerly awaits the delivery of any photo, story, or personal account of the event.
